Le Labo
Le Labo de zinologie is a community-based research library for zines and zine culture. It is composed of two main collections. The first gathers scholarship and reference materials and includes nearly a thousand digital documents—academic papers, newspaper and magazine articles, book chapters, websites—and a wide range of books covering zines and zine history. Zines documenting zine culture from within offer additional perspective. This collection of scholarly literature surveys multiple zine scenes across North America and Europe, and contains resources in English, French, and German.
The second collection is composed of an estimated total of over 3,000 zines from North America and Europe, with a focus on Quebec. It includes zines from the 1970s to the present, touching upon a wide range of genres, from science fiction to comics, from poetry to graphic arts, from music to political activism.
